Our Story
When we first set foot on these 3.7 acres at 41-977 Kakaina Street in Waimanalo, the land was choked with invasive trees — albizia, macaranga, and African tulip had taken over completely.
Instead of hauling it all away, we chipped every last tree and turned that biomass back into the earth. Years of invasive growth became the foundation for rebuilding degraded soil into rich, productive farmland.
Since 2011, Wailupe Farms has been on a mission to fight food insecurity in our community. We practice organic, sustainable methods with a focus on pest management and soil health — growing high-quality produce for Waimanalo and beyond.
